At First Presbyterian Church, visitors are very important to us. We want you to feel welcome in our church home, even if you've never been to church before! All who want to learn more about Christ or who want to share their love for Jesus with others are welcome at First Presbyterian. We've listed a few things on these pages that will make your first visit (and hopefully many visits after that!) easier. If you have any questions about anything on this page or anything about our church in general, please give us a call at 864.235.0496.

When We Meet
Traditional Worship: 8:30am and 11:00am
Modern Worship: 10:45am
Sunday School: 9:45am - Adults; 9:30am - Children and Youth
We have three worship services on Sundays: Traditional services at 8:30am and 11:00am in the Sanctuary and a contemporary service called Ignite at 10:45am in Fellowship Hall. Sunday School for adults meet from 9:45am to 10:30am and Sunday School for children and youth meets from 9:30am to 10:30am.
8:30am and 11:00am in the Sanctuary
Our 8:30am and 11:00am Sunday morning services are traditional in nature and basically identical in format. The Word of God is preached with passion and relevancy, the sacraments of Baptism and Communion are regularly celebrated, and God is glorified through the gift of music. Our morning worship seeks to reverently glorify God, while joyfully expressing the contagious excitement of being part of the family of God. Our senior pastor or one of our associate pastors normally preaches at these services. Music is typically led by our magnificent pipe organ or on the piano, with the Sanctuary Choir helping God's people to worship. The morning services are dynamic as the powerful presence of Jesus Christ is evident.
10:45am in Fellowship Hall
The content of our gatherings spans from the most time-tested to the most current expressions of worship. Music from classic hymns to current worship songs are led by our worship band, the sacraments will be celebrated in ways that are at times ancient and at other times modern, and truthful application of God’s Word is boldly taught by our senior pastor or one of our associate pastors.

Sunday morning Nursery Care (for children up to 2 years old)
The Tucker-Dean Nursery is committed to your child’s experiencing the love of Jesus in a healthy environment. Children are grouped according to age in the nursery’s four rooms and are cared for by both paid and volunteer workers. Nursery Care is provided on Sunday mornings from 8:15am until 12:15pm.
Sunday Morning Worship Options for Children (2-5 years old)
Children may accompany their parents to any of our Worship Services. (We love and value children at First Presbyterian Church. If your child becomes uncomfortable during worship, you may enjoy the worship service in the Parlor via live video at 8:30am and 11:00am.) Extended Session is also available for ages 2-5 in the children’s classrooms beginning at 10:45am. Children's Sunday School is from 9:30-10:30am. Ask a greeter for directions.
